Metro Silver Line opening date to be announced

Monday, we could know the start date for Metro's Silver Line service in northern Virginia. Metro says if all goes as planned, they expect to announce an opening date for the $2.9 billion phase one of the Silver Line. Md. officer shoots knife-wielding man

A Prince George's County police officer is on leave Monday morning after shooting a suspect overnight. Police say a man carrying a large knife approached officers on Annapolis Road in Bladensburg. When that man did not follow orders to drop the knife, an officer shot him in the hip. MORE
