TAKOMA PARK, Md. (WUSA9) -- A Maryland man plead guilty on on Thursday in court for armed robbery, officials said.

Garhett C. Adams, 20 and Ricardo Antron, 20 were arrested on October 26, 2012. They were charged for "armed robbery, 1st degree assault, 2nd degree assault, use of a handgun during a felony, theft over $1,000 and conspiracy to commit all of the above offenses", officials said.

The incident happened on Sep. 25, 2012 around 10:48 a.m., at the 7500 block of Maple Avenue (Maple Market) where Adams went into an establishment and robbed an employee at gunpoint. Antron stood look-out. They both then left in a car which was headed northbound on Maple Avenue towards Sherman Avenue to Carroll Avenue, police said.

Adams plead for two counts of armed robbery, police said.

His sentencing is scheduled for Sep. 22, and he could face up to a minimum of nine years in prison, with the maximum being 20 years, officials said.
