ALEXANDRIA, Va. (WUSA9) -- Two teen suspects were arrested for robbery and attempted robbery in Fairfax County, Va.
The incident occurred on May 24 at 11 p.m. in the area of Audubon Avenue and Thrush Court in Alexandria, when the two suspects approached the victim displaying a handgun and demanded cash.
One suspect assaulted the victim, and the victim fled before surrendering any property. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Minutes later, a second victim was walking in the 3400 block of Audubon Avenue when he was approached by the same two suspects. The suspect again displayed a handgun and demanded cash.
The second victim was left uninjured after surrendering cash and property, police say.
A 17-year-old male of the Alexandria area of Fairfax County was charged with robbery, attempted robbery, malicious wounding and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. A 15-year-old male of the Alexandria area of Fairfax County was charged with robbery and attempted robbery.
