FORT WASHINGTON, Md. (WUSA9) -- Prince George's County Government continued working on the slope failure at the lower section of Piscataway Drive in Piscataway Hills Community on Friday.

The slope failure caused the evacuation of 28 homes on Monday.

Authorities said all work and support operations will continue throughout the weekend. The Office of Emergency Management mobile command unit will still be used as a resource for residents.

The American Red Cross in collaboration with other managements will continue to operate a reception center at Harmony Hall Regional Center.

The Center will receive residents from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. over the weekend. In addition, Red Cross will stay on site over the weekend and hand out lunch and dinner to those who were impacted by the slope failure.

The assessment into the status of both the water and sewer main on the lower portion of Piscataway Drive as well the connections between the mains and houses will be continued.

Authorities said necessary repairs will be determined after the investigation is done.
