ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WUSA9) -- Police are looking for a suspect in connection to an attempted robbery incident at the Macy's department store in Annapolis.

It happened on May 1, around 12:53 p.m. at the parking lot of the Annapolis Mall outside of the Macy's. A female victim was standing outside of her car putting something into her car, when the suspect grabbed her arm and then demanded her purse. She screamed and the suspect ran away, police said.

Officials describe the suspect as a light skinned black male, approximately 20-years-old, with short braided hair. He was wearing a white t-shirt and jeans and was seen leaving in a beige four-door sedan.

The victim was not injured during the incident.
