MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (WUSA9) -- The Federal Bureau of Investigation is looking for a man who is responsible for two bank robberies.
He wore the same "Detroit Lions" baseball hat in both bank robberies, and one attempted bank robbery. He also wore dark sunglasses, officials said.
The first robbery happened on April 21 at the Capital One Bank located at 11261 New Hampshire Avenue, in Silver Spring. The second robbery happened on April 28 at the Capital One Bank located at 11241 Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring. Officials believe the same suspect is also responsible for an attempted robbery on April 21 at the Wells Fargo Bank located at 2320 Ashton Street, in Baltimore, Maryland.
Witnesses say the suspect is a black man, about 40-years-old, with salt and pepper in his beard. He has a mustache as well. In the robberies, he hands the tellers a note demanding money, and threatening to use a weapon, officials said.
