WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- The U.S. Marshals conducted a walk-through of a D.C. apartment Kahlil Tatum, the now-deceased suspect in the disappearance of Relisha Rudd, sublet to someone else on Wednesday morning.

The apartment is located in the 3500 block of Hayes St NE. Marshals eviction detail entered the apartment and found nothing.

"He was scheduled for eviction today. We arrived, we went through his house, there was no property in the house so it was an easy walk-through. We found zero," said David Neuman with the U.S. Marshals. "There were a few boxes that had no property in it but other than that it was completely empty. Our understanding is that the police have already searched the facility."

According to Neuman, Kahlil Tatum wasn't living there but had subleased the apartment. "He is listed as the leasee, or however he was subleasing it to someone else. I do not know who that is," added Neuman.

Eight-year-old Relisha Rudd is still missing. She was last seen on March 1.

Bruce Leshan received from updates on the case from Metropolitan Police Chief Cathy Lanier on Wednesday morning. The police chief says that hoax Facebook pages and tips are frustrating investigators.

She added, "We don't just drop cases. 5 or so tips a day still coming in."

Lanier insisted that the police are doing all they can to find her.

"I wish we'd heard the first day she went missing," said Lanier. "...What really hurt was getting started 3 weeks late. That's the killer."

WUSA9 is committed to helping find Relisha Rudd. Wednesday during our 7 p.m. newscast we'll have extensive coverage of the investigation. If you have a question, post it on our Facebook page or tweet us @wusa9.
