WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- A D.C. man plead guilty today to prostituting and sexually abusing a 15-year-old victim, police said.
Jason Whren, 33, plead guilty to charges of first-degree sexual abuse of a child and pandering of a minor for sexually abusing and prostituting a 15-year-old girl, officials said. He faces a potential life sentence without the possibility of release in addition to a fine of up to $250,000, police said.
Whren contacted the 15-year-old victim on Facebook, developed a relationship with her via the telephone and internet, sent her numerous text messages which contained sexually explicit pictures of himself and enticed her to travel from Seattle to D.C. in Dec. 2012. When she arrived to Washington, Whren immediately engaged in intercourse and other sexual activities with the victim. He then started prostituting her, forcing her to walk the streets to find clients, and to respond to illicit internet ad's he posted. These activities took place for five days from Dec. 1 to Dec. 5, until undercover officers conducting an operation intervened.
The next scheduled sentencing for Whren is June 11, 2014.
