OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) - Stevenson University has lifted a lockdown after police determined there was no shooter on campus.
Baltimore County Police Department spokeswoman Elise Armacost told reporters Monday afternoon at the university's Owings Mills campus that officers found a pellet gun and are talking with two students. She said they aren't suspects, and it is still unclear whether any crime was committed.
The school posted on its website shortly after 5 p.m. that it was safe for students to move about.
The police department says on its official Twitter account that the investigation began when two people saw what they thought was a person with a gun and called 911 about 2:25 p.m.
