GREENBELT, Md. (WUSA9) -- A Maryland man has pleaded guilty to the production of child pornography, officials said.

Ronald Davis Pope, 49, of Mechanicsville, Maryland, has agreed to plead guilty to sexual abuse of a minor. He will be sentenced to 235 months in prison followed by a lifetime of supervised release, officials said.

From February through May 2013, Pope lived with a family and shared a bathroom with a 14-year-old male victim. Pope had put a watch which contained a hidden camera to record the victim as he took showers and used the bathroom. The camera focused on the victims genital area. He then transferred the videos to his computer and cell phone, officials said.

Officials executed a search warrant on May 2, 2013 at Pope's residence and seized electronic devices, including Pope's cellular phone and laptop computer, which contained 18 videos showing the victim dressing, undressing, showering and using the restroom.

Officials also found that a package arrived at Pope's house on May 7, 2013. This included a weather clock with a hidden camera. Another package containing an HD clock DVR, USB cord and a micro SD card was also retrieved from a family member, officials said.

As part of his plea agreement, Pope will have to register as a sex offender 'in the place where he resides, where he is an employee, and where he is a student, under the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA)', officials said.

The sentencing is scheduled for June 3 at 9:00 a.m.
