CHEVY CHASE, Md. (WUSA9) -- Four people are in custody after Montgomery County Police investigated shots fired early Friday morning.

Police spokesperson Captain Paul Starks says gunshots were reported in the 8400 block of Freyman Dr. In Chevy Chase at approximately 2 a.m. No one was reported injured, according to Starks.

Two people exited the house at approximately 6:45 a.m. An emergency response team was trying to make contact with anyone who may be left inside, according to police.

WUSA 9's Andrea McCarren reported that a man was in custody after numerous shell casings were found outside a home near Meadowbrook Stables. Police say all four people taken into custody were in the house.

A police spokesperson say they are still trying to determine what happened, but potential charges for the three men and one woman in custody include discharging a weapon in an urban area and reckless endangerment.
