WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Officials report emergency lane closures in the HOV lanes south of Duke Street on I-395.
Both lanes in the HOV lanes will be blocked while emergency crews work on a crane that tipped over in the 95 Express Lanes work zone.
Authorities said the crane is not blocking a travel lane, however the lanes must be closed to keep the public safe.
The closure is expected to run through the evening rush, authorities said.
Traffic is being directed to the regular lanes on I-395.
Virginia State Police will direct drivers out of the HOV lanes using flyover ramp, just south of Duke Street. Drivers can re-enter the HOV lanes south of Edsall Road.
