VIRGINIA (WUSA) -- Officials have responded to 1,358 traffic crashes and 1,417 disabled vehicles across Virginia during a 12-hour period.
Police received 5,200 calls for service.
Two of the storm-related accidents have been fatal. In one of the incidents, a Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) contract worker, Lovo Guevara Geovany Arnoldo, 32 had pulled his truck off to the right shoulder and was standing on the side, when he struck by another VDOT dump truck.

Wytheville Division: 116 traffic crashes and 194 disabled vehicles (662 calls for service.)
Chesapeake Division: 223 traffic crashes and 112 disabled vehicles (742 calls for service.)
Salem Division: 176 traffic crashes and 336 disabled vehicles (958 calls for service.)
Fairfax Division: 114 traffic crashes and 267 disabled vehicles…809 calls for service.
