LUSBY, Md. (WUSA9) -- Two Maryland men were arrested for the possession of drugs and possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia last Monday evening in Lusby.
Deputy L. Wood responded to the area of Sitting Bull Circle and Arrow Court for the report of a car in the roadway. The Calvert County Sheriff's Office said when Wood got to the location she found described car legally parked.
Wood asked to see identification from two men that came out of a nearby home, the sheriff's office said. One of the men said his identification was inside the house.
The other man, identified as 23-year-old Tavon Irving Huffin of Lusby has marijuana on the front of shirt, according to the sheriff's office. Wood searched Huffin and found additional drugs, authorities added.
Wood then went inside the home with the first man to get his identification. She found drug paraphernalia in the house, according to the sheriff's office.
The first man was identified as Anthony Allen Cantrell, 20, also from Lusby. Wood continued her search and found additional drugs in the house, authorities said. Wood also found women's jewelry that did not belong to Cantrell. The jewelry was confiscated by the deputy, authorities said.
Both of the men were arrested, the sheriff's office said.
Huffin was charged with possession of marijuana less than 10 grams, possession of a schedule II drug and possession of a schedule IV drug, according to authorities.
Cantrell was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of a schedule II drug, and possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia, the sheriff's office said.
