WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- The National Zoo lion cubs were recently weighed. The report: healthy and adorable!

Zoo officials say keepers were able to look at the cubs when their mother Naba spent some time away from them to enjoy and oxtail treat with her sister Shera.

Keepers shaved a small mark on each cub to tell them apart. The smaller cub weighs 7.6 pounds and has a shave mark on its left shoulder. The larger cub weighs 8.26 pounds and has a small shave mark at the base of its tail.

The sex of both cubs hasn't been determined. Just shy of two week old, their genitalia have not fully developed.
