COLUMBIA, Md. (WUSA9) -- A man who lived with Brianna Benlolo says he saw her the morning before she went to work and said "good bye and stay safe."
Brianna was renting from a man who called himself the caretaker of the home and did not want to be identified. He says the two lived together and while they were not very close, he called her a wonderful person.
The caretaker says Brianna's parents live in Montgomery County. He says that Brianna's son would come stay with her several times a week.
The shooter's home is less than half a mile away from Brianna's home. The caretaker did not recognize the shooter's name, Darion Marcus Aguilar, and was surprised that he lived so close.
Police say Aguilar shot and killed Brianna Benlolo, 21, of College Park, and Tyler Johnson, 25, of Mt. Airy, Md., inside of the Zumiez skate shop at the Columbia Mall on Saturday.
