WASHINGTON -- School officials at George Washington University confirm the deceased body found Tuesday evening was that of a male student.
Officials were called at 5:48 p.m. Tuesday at the Mount Vernon Campus hall where they found a deceased person.
The investigation is now in the hands of Metro police, but the university did release a statement saying, "We are deeply saddened to report that a male student was found deceased in his West Hall residence on the Mount Vernon Campus. At this time, we have no indication that the death was the result of a criminal act."
