WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- A recent study finds robotically assisted hyseterectomies are not any better than the more traditional laparascopic procedure.

In recent years robotically assisted hysterectomies have gained in popularity, but researchers at Columbia University find both approaches have similar outcomes and low complication rates.

The only difference between the two procedures is that robotic hysterectomies cost about $2,000 more.
