GAITHERSBURG, Md. (WUSA9) -- Firefighters managed to extinguish a fire that broke out in a trailer full of charcoal at a loading dock in Gaithersburg on Wednesday morning.
According to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services spokesperson Pete Piringer, the trailer was three-fourths full of a charcoal product when the fire broke out in the 16700 block of Oakmont Avenue.
Firefighters were able to knock down the bulk of the fire with foam, says Piringer, but they expect to have to do extensive overhaul. They are removing the charcoal product.
