ALEXANDRIA, Va. (WUSA9) -- Alexandria police say they are investigating a shooting that injured a 17-year-old boy on Tuesday night.
Police say officers responded for multiple calls regarding shots fired in the area of N. Fayette Street and N. Wythe Street at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday. They found the teen several blocks away.
The 17-year-old boy was suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. He was transported to an area hospital where he was released after treatment, say police.
The exact location of the shooting is unknown.
