BETHESDA, Md. (WUSA9) -- Drivers should expect lane closures on MD 190 (River Road) from I-495 in Bethesda this week.
The Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) is starting a $3.1 million safety and resurfacing project on the road from I-495 (Capital Beltway) to MD 614 (Goldsboro Road). Work will include upgrading sidewalk ramps, reconstructing the traffic signal at the intersection of MD 190 and MD 188 (Wilson Lane), installing audible pedestrian signals and more.
Officials say River Road will experience some road closures from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday as well as 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday.
