WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- The trial for singer Chris Brown's bodyguard concluded Friday, but a verdict won't be handed down until Monday. Until a verdict is reached in his body guard's trial, Chris Brown's trial won't begin.
The judge denied a motion to dismiss for bodyguard Chris Hollesy, reports WUSA9's Hank Silverberg.
Silverberg reports that Hollesy chose not to testify at his assault trial. The defense rested after just two witnesses.
Reporters, supporters and others are gathered at a D.C. courthouse for the possible start of Chris Brown's assault trial, including rapper Bow Wow and singer Tank.
Thursday, we reported that Brown's trial could start on Friday if the trial for his bodyguard ended on Friday morning.
Both are accused of punching a man outside the "W" hotel last October.
