BALTIMORE (WUSA9) -- The BWI Light Rail station that was closed for weeks due to electrical repairs has reopened, according to Maryland transit officials.
A truck struck part of MTA's light rail infrastructure during a storm in February. It damaged electrical circuits and caused a long-term power and train signals outage in the area of BWI. Bus shuttles were then used to get customers to and from the airport.
The Maryland Department of Transportation oversaw repairs with the help of Maryland Transit Administration, the State Highway Administration and the Maryland Aviation Administration, say officials.
