WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Police are investigating a homicide which happened in DC on Wednesday night.

Police responded to a car accident at the 900 block of Madison Street N.W. around 7:51 p.m. When they arrived, they found a man in the car who was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound while he was in the car, police said.


He was taken to the hospital as a priority one patient where he was pronounced dead, police said. Police later established that the actual offense took place close-by at the 1200 block of Madison Street, N.W.

Police have not identified the man or the cause of the of the death. There is a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for this homicide. You can call Police at (202) 727-9099.
