Police say a woman was stabbed by her husband during an argument. Another person tried to intervene and was also stabbed.
WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- According to police, a woman and another person who tried to intervene were stabbed during an argument with her husband late Thursday night.
The double stabbing happened in the area of South Dakota Avenue NE and Delafield Street NE at 11 p.m. Police say the woman told them that her husband stabbed her with a knife during an argument. When a man tried to step in he was stabbed by her husband as well, according to police.
The woman and man suffered non-life threatening injuries and were taken to the hospital, say police.
The husband was taken into custody.
