Foxboro, MA (SportsNetwork.com) - Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey was ruled out for Saturday night's AFC Divisional Playoff game against the New England Patriots.
Heyward-Bey, who suffered a hamstring injury in last Saturday's 45-44 win over the Kansas City Chiefs in the Wild Card Round, did not practice this week.
He had 29 receptions for 309 yards and a touchdown this season.
The Colts signed former Patriots wide receiver Deion Branch earlier this week as insurance.
In addition, Colts safety LaRon Landry (concussion), linebacker Josh McNary (concussion), offensive lineman Khaled Holmes (calf) and nose tackle Aubrayo Franklin (rest) are all listed as probable.
Patriots wide receiver Aaron Dobson was ruled out due to a foot injury he suffered in New England's regular-season finale against the Buffalo Bills. Dobson hasn't practiced since.
Also for New England, wide receiver Kenbrell Thompkins (hip) and cornerback Alfonzo Dennard (knee/shoulder) are listed as questionable.
