ARLINGTON, Va. (WUSA9) -- A water main break occurred in Arlington on Friday morning, resulting in another problem.
The break is located in the 1700 block of North Harrison Street.Officials of the Arlington Department of Environmental Services say that five houses were affected by the water main break.
Police and fire officials say they received a call about the break at 7 a.m. The road was undermined due to the main break and part of a fire truck got stuck in a sinkhole, say officials.
Crews started repairing the 6-inch pipe after the fire truckwas removed from the sinkhole by two trucks.
The road also has a sheet of ice due to the break. The road is closed and police are redirecting traffic, according to an Arlington alert.
