ARLINGTON, Va. (WUSA9) -- Crews are on the scene at Reagan National Airport after a pipe burst in the ceiling above the baggage claim area.
It happened around 2:00 p.m. Tuesday. Officials say about an inch of water ended up on the floor. None of the luggage was affected. Officials are directing passengers to other baggage carousels to retrieve their luggage.
Officials suspect the cold might have something to do with the pipe burst.
Airport operations are running as scheduled. All baggage claim areas are open. Ground transportation center at baggage claim no. 7 remains closed. Passengers are advised to go to baggage claim no. 3.
