WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- The arctic blastcaused leaking pipes at George Washington University Hospital. This resulted in flooding and 33 patient rooms were impacted.
According to GW Hospital officials, 23 patients were moved to other rooms in the facility. The Emergency Department is open and all elective surgical procedures are running normally.
The leaks started Tuesday morning around 11:30am on the sixth and fourth floors. The family members of the patients were notified of the room changes.
