PURCELLVILLE, Va. (WUSA9) -- The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office Cold Case Unit is trying to determine the identity of a man whose skeletal remains were found near Purcellville on March 8, 1988.

Authorities say hewas found wrapped in a blanket on Sunny Ridge Road (Route 761). They determined he was shot.

According to authorities, the victim is believed to be a White or Hispanic male in hisfifties, approximately 5'8" to 5'10" tall, with a stocky build and possible reddish brown hair. He also had a full upper denture, which was found next to his body. He was wearing Sears brand black polyester pants, size 42 waist and 29 inseam, and red socks, say authorities.
