LEESBURG, Va. (WUSA9) -- Sunday night, freezing rain caused extremely hazardous road conditions. Crewswere out in Maryland, Virginia and the District trying to keep the roads safe.

A WUSA9 news crew found out firsthand how slippery conditions were out there. tell us about it. On their way to Loudoun County the roads were very dangerous.Theyheard Dunlop Mill Road was a pretty slick road with a lot of ice, so they pulled off to get video..and their vehicle slid down a steep hill.

According to Nikki Burdine, the crew was at the bottomof the hill forapproximately an hour and a half.The wheels were spinning andthere was several inches thick of ice lying on the road.Luckily, officials with Loudoun County Sheriff's Office helped get the crew to safety.
