MANASSAS, Va. (WUSA9) -- A Virginia man faces abduction charges after an incident at Hard Times Cafe.
Police say Christopher Lee Page, of 9328 Clover Hill Road in Manassas, Va., stole a vehicle from the restaurant and refused to let a female passenger exit the vehicle.
He is charged withabduction, driving under the influence of alcohol, grand larceny of a vehicle, eluding and defrauding a restaurant.
On Dec. 16 at 1:34 p.m., police responded to the restaurant at 7735 Sudley Road in Manassas, Va. where a 31-year-old male reported that an unknown suspect took the keys to his vehicle while he was inside the Hard Times Cafe, police say.
The victim later observed his vehicle being driven through the parking lot with an unknown female inside.
When police located the vehicle, they say Page fled in the vehicle at a high rate of speed on Balls Ford Road. Page ultimately lost control of the vehicle and crashed at the end of the road.
An investigation revealed page was driving while intoxicated and the female passenger did not know the vehicle was stolen, police say. Several requests by the female to exit the vehicle were denied by Page.
