WALDORF, Md. (WUSA9) -- A police officer spotted a man running from a house while carrying a blanket that appeared to have items wrapped inside of it last week. The man was later charged with burglary and theft.
According to Charles County Sheriff's Office authorities, an officer on neighborhood patrol in the 11200 block of Hess Court in Waldorf last Thursday saw the man running from a house. The man noticed the officer and then ran between two house across the street to a wooded area. Authorities say that's where he dropped the blanket and kept running.
Officers then started to search the area. During that time, an intrusionalarm sounded at the house. Other officers went to the house that it was burglarized, say authorities. A Play Station game console, remote controls, games, cords and burglars tools were recovered in the wooded area, according to authorities.
Eighteen-year-old Davon Andrew Singh was arrested andcharged with burglary and theft.
