ALEXANDRIA, Va. (WUSA9) -- Police are investigating a bank robbery in Alexandria, Va.
Officials say the Virginia Commerce Bank, located at 5140 Duke Street, was robbed on Friday, Dec. 13, around 10:41 a.m.
The suspect handed the teller a note that implied he had a weapon and demanded money, police say. The teller handed him an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect fled the bank.
The suspect is described as a black male, standing 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a thin to average build. He was last seen wearing a black mask and construction attire (a neon yellow jacket and a white hard hat with the word "joy" on the front.
