Bowling Green, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - Richaun Holmes nearly registered a triple-double as the Bowling Green Falcons posted a 79-69 victory over North Dakota in a non-conference bout at the Stroh Center.
Holmes finished with 21 points, 14 rebounds and seven blocks for Bowling Green (4-5). Spencer Parker added 19 points and eight rebounds, Cameron Black had 13 points, seven rebounds and four blocks and Jehvon Clarke chimed in with 12 points.
Troy Huff scored 19 points to pace North Dakota (2-6). Jaron Nash tacked on 17 points and nine boards and Josh Schuler chipped in 14 points off the bench.
At the end of the first half the Falcons led 30-27. Bowling Green hit on 55 percent of its shots in the period while North Dakota was at 44 percent shooting.
The Falcons shot at a 55.2 percent rate and outscored North Dakota, 17-5, from the free-throw line during the final 20 minutes to close out the win.
The teams combined for 39 turnovers and 46 points off those miscues.
