WASHINGTON (WUSA9/USA TODAY) -- Toronto Mayor Rob Ford may be bringing his antics to the District in a weekly radio show.
Radio station 106.7 The Fan announced that the controversial mayor is tentatively slated to appear on a weekly sports radio show "The Sports Junkies," as long as he doesn't change his mind.
"I hope it happens. I hope he doesn't pull out on us. You know how these things go," said Program DirectorChris Kinard.
His segment is scheduled to start Thursday at 8:40 a.m. Ford will be talking about his NFL picks, the station said.
Ford recently was stripped of his powers by the Toronto City Council, after he admitted to smoking crack cocaine in a "drunken stupor." He took some serious ribbing Sunday when he attended the Buffalo Bills vs. Atlanta Falcons game at Rogers Centre in Toronto.
The mayor, who was once a high school football coach, isn't the first pol to take his turn behind the microphone. New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie has been a guest host twice on WFAN, the New York-area sports talk radio station.
