BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A fraternity at Morgan State University is on probation until 2015 following accusations that it rejected a recruit because he is gay.
The university determined the Alpha Iota chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi did, in fact, discriminate against Brian Stewart because he is gay.
Stewart spoke to WJZ earlier this year and cited text messages as evidence of the discrimination.
"Stop shading these intelligent [expletives] give them the perception of a `fair and equal opportunity,'" one message read.
Morgan State University released a statement Tuesday, outlining the terms of the probation.
