MANASSAS, Va. (WUSA9) -- Fire officials say a small house is completely destroyed after a fire in Manassas.

It happenedin the 11500 block of Lucasville Road shortly after 4 a.m. Thursday.

According to Chief Curtis Brody, the fire units arrived on the scene to find a small house fully engulfed in flames.

There were two adults inside the house that made it out safely. Two dogs inside the house did not survive, officials said.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation by the Prince William County Fire Marshal's Office.
