Next week, NBC is airing one of the most unusual - and riskiest - projects in recent memory: A live production of theRodgers and HammersteinmusicalTheSound of Music,starringCarrie Underwoodand based on the stage version rather than the better-known movie. In an attempt to at least slightly decrease that risk, the network is supportingMusicwith the Sound of Heavy Promotion, including tonight's "making of" special. Hey, more power to them: It's nice to see a network putting some muscle behind a project that actually sounds like it could be worth the effort.
