Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly has named Nick Foles the starting quarterback instead of Michael Vick.
Kelly named Foles the starter for at least Week 13 on Tuesday, as Vick is expected to be ready to play after missing the last three games with a hamstring injury.
Philadelphia enters Week 13 action tied atop the NFC East with the Dallas Cowboys at 6-5. Foles has led the Eagles, who host the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, to three straight wins.
Foles has completed 63.6 percent of his passes for 1,554 yards and 16 touchdowns with no interceptions in eight games (five starts) this season. The second-year pro out of Arizona has also scored twice on the ground.
Vick began the season as the Eagles' starting signal-caller and in parts of six games this season has completed 54.6 percent of his passes for 1,215 yards with five touchdowns and three picks.
However, injuries have plagued Vick this season. He pulled his hamstring in Week 5 against the New York Giants and missed the next two games. He came back in Week 8 to face the Giants again, but aggravated his hamstring injury and hasn't suited up since.
