WOODBRIDGE, Va. (WUSA9) -- Prince William County police are investigatingthehomicideof 78-year-old Charlie Duncan Adkins that occurredlast Wednesdayin Woodbridge, Va.

Monday afternoon, police will hand out flyers about the homicide. Officers will be located at Cotton Mill Drive and Griffith Avenue and at Cotton Mill Drive and Hedges Run Drive.

According to police,officers responded to a home in the 3400 block of Caledonia Circle at 8:14 p.m. Wednesday evening to investigate a suspicious death.

The caller told police she went to visit her friend who lived in the home and upon arrival, she found the door to the home unsecured, police said.

Officers searched the home and found Adkins who had sustained an injury to his upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene.

No arrest has been made yet.
