GLEN BURNIE, Md. (WUSA9) -- A 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection to a burglary incident in Md., police said.

Alexander Rene Villatoro attempted to enter a home around 12:25 a.m. located on the block of Jackson Ave. The owner of the home was upstairs in a bed when he heardVillatoro downstairs. He then went down and saw thatVillatoro had gained partial entry into the home through a window in the dining room. He struckVillatoro with an object, who then fled the scene, police said.

When Police tried to locate the suspect, they saw thatVillatoro had tried going back towards the same house and attempted to enter through the same window. He was arrested and charged with two felony counts of 1st and 3rd degree burglary in addition to 4th degree burglary, possession of marijuana and resisting arrest which are all misdemeanors, police said.
