ASHBURN, Va. (AP) - Robert Griffin III says he's using his instincts more after thinking too much in his first few games after knee surgery.
The Washington Redskins quarterback said Wednesday: "I've got to be the guy that I know that I am."
Part of his return to instinctual play was running for 77 yards in Sunday's loss to Dallas, more than his rushing total in the first four games combined.
What's still missing is the accuracy that helped make Griffin such a sensation last year. His completion percentage is down during the team's 1-4 start, a byproduct of dicey footwork, miscommunication with receivers, poor protection and bad throws.
The Redskins host the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
