WOODBRIDGE, Va. (WUSA9) -- A firefighter received minor injuries and a family was displaced after a fire in a Woodbridge home on Thursday night.

According to Occoquan-Woodbridge-Lorton Volunteer Fire Departmentofficials, at 9:08 p.m. firefighters responded to the report of a house fire in the 14000 block of Roanoke Street in Woodbridge. They saw fire in the garage of the home and brought itunder control within eight minutes, say officials.

Officials saya firefighter suffered minor injuries.

Three dogs were located and removed from the home, according to officials. Thefamily who lived in the house are being assisted by the Red Cross.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
