(USA Today) --Should Taylor Swift be allowed to act surprised anymore when she wins an award?
The (Nashville) Tennessean is reporting that the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) has announced that she'll be honored with its songwriter/artist of the year award. This will be her sixth win, surpassing five-time winners Vince Gill and Alan Jackson. Swift, who is the youngest artist to win the award, has released 14 songs that landed in the top 30 between July 2012 and June 2013.
While some stars put their trophies on the mantel over the fireplace at home, Swift, 23, will put hers on display at the Taylor Swift Education Center at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville, which opens Saturday. Not only is the center named after her, but she donated $4 million to it, so it's sort of like one big mantel. Her donation is the largest single one made in the museum's 46-year history.
