MANASSAS, Va. (WUSA9) --A small aircraft has overturned near the Manassas Regional Airport at 10600 Harry J Parrish Boulevard, according to officials.

Virginia State Police spokesperson Corrine Geller said the crash happened about 9:39 a.m and there were no injuries.

The pilot, identified as Sahel Abdulrahim Bader, 35, of Fairfax, Va., was practicing take offs and landings in a 2000 Cessna Skyhawk 172S when it crash landed near the airport, officials said.

Bader was not injured in the crash and there was minimal damage to the aircraft.

Photos show the planeoverturned in a grassy area near the runway.

Manassas Volunteer Fire Company officials say everyone is out of the airplane, and crews are trying to control a fuel leak.

The plane was carrying about 50 gallons of fuel and what leaked out was minor.

State police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
