WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA) -- Teens are choosing video games and the Internet over theme parks because it's cheaper entertainment.

According to Mintel research firm, only 67 percent of 12 to 17 years old visited a U.S. theme park last year compared to 76 percent five years ago.

It seems the increase in admission prices along with the food and games are the reason.

But, the study also found that Disney's parks and resorts have not suffered from the trend.

In fact, the company set record attendance at its parks this past June.
