LEESBURG, Va. (WUSA9) -- America's 9/11 Foundation Inc.'s annual commemorative motorcycle ride passed through Loudoun on Friday.
The ride remembers those who lost their lives in the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks. The long string of bikes rode through Leesburg around 2:15 p.m.
The motorcycle procession traveled through downtown Leesburg along King Street before heading to the Route 7/15 Bypass and the Dulles Greenway.
During the event, King Street was closed to traffic, including intersections crossing the road. Road closures were expected to last 20-25 minutes.
