LAUREL, Md. (WUSA9) -- A family is without a home after their mobile home burned down, officials said.

Six residents were displaced after a mobile home caught fire on Ruth Avenue in North Laurel, officials said.

One firefighter from the Savage Fire Station sustained minor burns and was transported to a local burn center for evaluation and treatment, officials said.


Firefighters from Howard County, Anne Arundel County and Prince George's County quickly put out the fire.

The residents are being assisted by the American Red Cross.


The fire is under investigation.
