WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- D.C. area news men and women gathered for the annual Newsbabes Bash on Thursday night.
The fifth bash for breast cancer was held at The Hamilton at 600 14th Street in Northwest. This year's proceeds benefit the Howard University Cancer Center.
Guests enjoyed cupcakes, pink drinks, music from DJ Flounder and a photo booth while decked out in pink attire.
"For some of us pink isn't just a pretty color. Pink symbolizes survival," said WUSA9's Lesli Foster.
Guests included D.C. anchorwomen and Dr. Wayne Frederick, director of the Howard University Cancer Center.
WUSA9's JC Hayward also took the stage to share her story as the night's speaker.
